This pre collection to my graduation collection draws inspiration from images of my fathers band “FAKE” in the 1980s. I used a process of short video clips to explore the colour palette and visual language. The frame of “a night in the mosh pit” combined with subtle references to the stage attire of a Modern Romantic band, gave me the red thread throughout. Arriving at a design language of ripped sleeves and raw edges in two ways. Adding a clean finish to a destroyed part as well as allowing some to be left as after a night out.
