My fathers time on stage and performances of “The Sensational Alex Harvey band”, Scottish punk group from 1970s, inspired my graduation work. Both shaped my adolescence and spirit, and manifests a rougher version of me, more bold and free. Leaving many materials raw, using subtle references to music like guitar-belts, screws and picks as details. Together with the slashed sleeves of the outwear this creates a cheeky nod to the “do it yourself attitude” I wanted to bring to the kitschy overall visual language. The result: a mixed collection of theatre rock inspired uniforms elevated into rough minimalism.
